What Is Lingerie?
In the plain, boring definition of lingerie, it means any type of linen item that women wear under their outer garments, as sleep wear or for more intimate reasons. This can be an umbrella term for anything a woman wears either underneath or behind closed doors. These can include everyday items like bras, sports bras, underwear, pantyhose and even those frumpy pyjamas with the frogs all over them.
For the purpose of this explanation, however; let's peel off another layer and focus more on the word intimate. We all know what intimate means and I don't really want to get into the definition since it is more of a category that I would like to talk about.
Lingerie, in the more intimate apparel sense, are items of clothing that make a woman feel sexy, sensual and gloriously feminine. And that is where my cryptic beginning is answered since every woman has a different opinion of what makes them feel feminine and sexy.
For the main opinion, lingerie tends to be the silks and satins, the lace and see through materials, the bold colors and playful prints. Bras can be classed as lingerie if they have lace embellishments or shiny fabrics. Bold colors or prints are another indicator of the lingerie bra and if you match that with a panty made in similar colors and fabrics, well, you have a lingerie set that will make blood boil.
Night gowns that are curve hugging and made from a variety of cool materials such as satin and silk are considered to be intimate lingerie. They can be any length, can have a slit up the side or a plunging neckline or they can simply hang in an elegant manner. Nightgowns that also have lace embellishments or are made completely of lace are also classified as intimate lingerie.
Lastly, lingerie can be of the more exotic items, you know the ones, those items that you don't want anyone but your boyfriend to know you have. They can be pretty simple with a pair of gloves and maybe a revealing neckline with a snap crotch. Nothing too risqué but they can also step over the edge and go from innocently seductive to sinfully playful with buttons, feathers and sequins. They can be made from all the fabrics of the less risqué items but they can also be made with sheer fabric or even leather. Generally, bustiers and baby doll nightgowns are grouped in with the exotic lingerie but with a little less embellishment those two items can be fairly innocent compared to other outfits.
In the end, yes, lingerie can be the everyday unmentionables but just like women, lingerie can be so much more.

Anything less and you are short changing yourself of the potential money you could be making.
The other part of this is attention to the customer. You will need to be a type of chameleon in regards to what the customer wants. Getting to quickly know a customer can benefit you immensely, as far as what they like or dislike, and how you can use this to your advantage. You also have the ability to make a few generalization about certain types of customers, younger ones may like a little rougher or a fun personality, while older gentlemen like it softer and sexier. Playing to the audience is monumental to making more on stage.
With choosing this industry you are opening yourself to making an unbelievable amount of cash but remember to always stay grounded. The money is not going to last forever. Actually you have only a short time to earn this kind of money in this industry so take full advantage of it.

American-style potato salad with egg and mayonnaise
Potato salad is a dish made from potatoes, and varies throughout different regions and countries of the world.
With respect to its place among the various individual menu courses served together as one meal, it is better classified as a side dish rather than a salad, as it generally accompanies the main course.
Potato salad is often served with barbecue, roasts, hot dogs, fried chicken, hamburgers and cold sandwiches. It is generally considered casual fare, and as such is typically served at picnics, outdoor barbecues, and other casual meals and events. It is a popular menu choice of cooks preparing food for a large number of people, because it is easily made in large quantities, it can be prepared in advance and refrigerated until needed, and requires only inexpensive ingredients.
Types
General versions of potato salad include:
salad made with baby potatoes, cooked in their jackets and left whole (skin on)
larger potatoes, cooked in their jackets and then peeled and cut
salad with a mayonnaise, Miracle Whip, sour cream or milk dressing
salad with vinegar dressing
salad with bacon, anchovies, or mustard.
salad with a fresh herb or dill dressing and/or gherkins, capers and other spices.
salad with raw onions, cooked onions or pickled onions.
salad with tomatoes or green beans.
salad with hard-boiled eggs (a combination of potato salad and egg salad)
salad with ham, pickles, corn, hard-boiled egg and tomato (known in France as salade pimontaise)
salad with orange slices, Worcestershire sauce, bacon, and chives.
Waldorf potato salad with potatoes, apples, celery, walnuts, and mayonnaise
Different versions of potato salad are served at different temperatures. Most potato salads are served at room temperature, the southern German variant may be served warm as well. In the U.S. and northern Germany potato salads are commonly served chilled.
German
German "Kartoffelsalat" is a popular variation which is generally served warm. It is typically more sour in taste and contains pork or bacon. Potato salad from northern Germany, however, is generally based on mayonnaise and quite similar to its US counterpart.
